Branding Your Company

Publish On 2008-07-24 , 8:36 PM

Branding your company in the business world is essential for success. You want clients to remember you long after they've used your services and you want anyone who has seen your logo (for example) to identify your company by just seeing its outline.

This is true also in the world wide web. Your website should also reflect your company's image... the design should flow with all other aspects of your business as well as your logo and so forth.

Why skimp and use logo designs that are from template companies that anyone else can purchase and use as well? Why use templates from the same source for your web design? These will look tacky, unprofessional and seem as though you don't take your company's image seriously.

Take into consideration, when branding your company's image:

1) color scheme
2) design
3) navigational ease
4) does it all match your image or marketing materials
5) do you offer your visitors to your site some interactive content where they can participate with your company, instead of visiting to find info and then leaving?
6) does your site appear on the search engine's first page for all of your keywords?
7) does your website copy sell your company?
8) do you have videos on your site that will display products for you, give an overview of your company or of testimonials?
9) does your site give users an opportunity to purchase your products or services?
10) Does your site allow visitors to contact your company through your website and not just by an email link? Does it offer them a privacy policy... customer service tools like forums, customer helpdesks, or faq support?

All of these things and much more can aide in your business brand.
