What is "Custom Web Design"?
There are two basic types of websites: template-based (i.e. cookie cutter) and custom sites. A new company with a low budget may choose to use a template-based site as it saves on design and programming costs. A seasoned company that is concerned with its image and getting the most out of the web to further enhance their company's revenue would be smart to choose a professional design firm to custom build a site tailored to the company's needs.
Design Process:
Planning - We discuss the company's goals for the site, what objectives are most important, and determine the company's budget to discuss appropriate features. We will then submit a proposal to your company outlining the site's goals, cost and delivery time, which includes three layouts/mockups of the sites appearance and design. Approval of this plan includes signing the contract and making the deposit to start the development phase.
Development - After acceptance of the proposal and layout, we start phase two by creating the site in HTML format to allow for full functionality online. All aspects of the project will be implemented to the client's satisfaction. We offer previewing via a test link until the development stage is complete.
Maintenance - Once the project has been completed and uploaded to the client's hosting server we offer 2 weeks of free maintenance and updating of the site. After the 2 weeks, updates may be purchased.
Delivery Time - The total time it takes to deliver a typical project is 6 - 8 weeks, but may take longer depending on the clients availability and cooperation with getting the needed materials to us. |
